What is United Methodist Confirmation? |
To United Methodists, confirmation is the first time a baptized Christian publicly 'confirms' to their intention to live their membership and baptismal vows. This means that they become a professing member of our church and of the United Methodist Church.

WHen can one start confirmation? |
In our church, all 8th graders are invited to join the confirmation class. We believe that this allows the ability to engage in thoughtful conversation and to act on one's own behalf when taking their vows. Our church begins confirmation during the academic school year and meets during our Sunday School time.

I was confirmed in another denomination. Do I need to be re-confirmed? |
Like baptism, United Methodists to not find the need to reconfirm our members. While you will be asked to publicly profess your baptismal and membership covenants, that process is not confirmation. That is something that we call reception, where we offer you a process to live out our version of the baptismal and membership vows as it pertains to our congregation.
